Hard to handle – ADEs
I’m just back from a great week in Leigh Academy where I was part of a team of Apple Distinguished Educators delivering workshops to the students of the school. It was a fantastic week, although at times the 35°C+ temperatures outside and glass roof in the work areas made the workshops a bit hard-going to say the least. And the black ADE t-shirts didn’t help!
At some point during the week someone decided that it would be a great idea to put together an impromptu ADE band to perform for the kids on the final morning. So I turned up at the penultimate lunchtime for a jam session led by the Very Talented Joe Moretti. We had a go at performing the Black Crowes’ version of Hard to handle. This video was shot by one of the pupils on the final morning. Ian Wilson on bass, Neil Emery on drums, Mike Watkinson on lead guitar, Joe Moretti on sax, I’m on piano and Phil Gregory on vocals. Great fun, chaps! We must do it again some time!
