168/365 Songs: Wonderful Copenhagen – Danny Kaye
I’ve spent the last five days in Denmark working at the annual Apple Teacher Institute in Svendborg in the south of the island of Fyn. I thought therefore that I should really play something with a Danish theme, although this song isn’t really the most authentic option! It comes from the 1952 musical film about the life and work of Hans Christian Andersen (which, as I’ve found out this week is pronounced in Danish more like “ho say annesen”!) with Danny Kaye in the title role.
